I was playing fine earlier today when we finished a match and voted on a new map.

My ps4 runs the game faster.
It was the opposite before the start up of kf2 was fast for me but loading a map the first time took a long time then was smooth.
You could be up against a very real physical limitation that is totally out of the control of the developers.
And i do have a pretty slow hard drive but no other game even takes 30 seconds to launch.
I just press start 3 or 4 times.

It almost took 3 minutes from the time the boot up window came up to when the game opened.
There s just physical limits to how fast data can move based on your hardware.

First time launch is long but launching the second time within the hour of quitting starts up less than 30 seconds.

I believe the map textures are prerendering during the start up now instead of when you click to start a game.
I think tripwire is thinking of other ways of speeding up the game start up.
I also noticed sometimes when shutting down before playing the sound files will continue to play with the game terminated and not showing in the task manager.
