Killing Floor 2 Level Not Saving

If some of your perks have gone to 0 but not all of them or they appear to no longer be progressing at all it is likely that your stats have become corrupted and the game is failing to update them.

After playing a fair bit yesterday having heard about the new swat perk i levelled a small amount up to level 1 with a few xp to go until hitting level 2. Level progress not saving after games.
